Vodafone is strengthening its sovereign cloud services for German businesses and public authorities through a new multi‑year strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Under its agreement with AWS, Vodafone will offer expanded cloud infrastructure services to enterprises and public sector organizations, ensuring that all data is exclusively stored and processed within the EU. From technical integration to ongoing operational support, customers will benefit from a comprehensive sovereign solution.
The move builds on Vodafone’s recent acquisition of Skaylink, a provider of cloud service solutions in Germany and Europe. By using AWS‑certified cloud experts from Skaylink, Vodafone can advise and support organizations in their migration to the AWS European Sovereign Cloud.
Customers can run applications entirely within the AWS Region in Brandenburg, Germany, benefiting from low latency connectivity while meeting strict requirements for data protection and residency.
